APRIL MEETING: DRUGS AND GANGS IN NWA - FBI UPDATES

Join us for our April meeting on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, 600 E. Van Asche, Fayetteville. The local FBI will update us on drugs and gangs in the Northwest AR area. Members not planning to attend need to email or fax their proxy forms back that were emailed to you. Upcoming Meetings

The Washington County Republican Committee will hold two meetings on March 15, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center. The first meeting will be for the election of delegates to the Special County Convention. We will then hold a Special County Convention to elect delegates to the Special District Convention. Parking is available in the Town Center's parking garage. Take elevator to lobby level. Meeting is in the Dogwood Room.

Early Voting Begins for Arkansas Primary

ARKANSAS (KFSM) — With the Arkansas primary just two weeks away, Arkansans began early voting on Tuesday (Feb. 16).

In Benton County, the number of people voting on the first day of early voting has more than doubled last year’s turnout.

Just 400 Benton County residents casts ballots on the first day last year. This year, more than 800 people have voted already, and election officials are projecting a turnout of 1,400.
The regular primary date is March 1, which is coming earlier in the year for this election cycle. However, the election commission is encouraging everyone who can to vote early to ease congestion on March 1.

The contested races that will appear on the Arkansas primary ballots are listed below.
An asterisk (*) denotes that the candidate is an incumbent. Two asterisks (**) denotes that the candidate has dropped out but will still appear on the ballot.
